SHG enter into agreement with new shipping provider

The service will include a dedicated vessel shipping cargo directly between St Helena, Cape Town and Walvis Bay. It will be calling at the Island approximately every four weeks. Minister for the Treasury and Economic Development, Mark Brooks, said:

SHG has been made aware that the operation of an additional sea freight service to St Helena is being considered by a private shipping company, under the agency of Meihuizen International. Last year SHG invited tenders from parties interested in providing a longer term sea freight service to the island.
