French company Tiamat Energy, a sodium battery manufacturer spun out of the French National Research Centre CNRS, is planning a sodium cell factory with a maximum capacity of 5 GWh. Plans indicate that construction of the plant will begin at the beginning of this year, with a production of just 0.7 GWh by 2025, when it is put into operation.
